Pensacola Neighborhoods: Myrtle Grove Has A Lot To Offer In Convenience

My previous post on Myrtle Grove covered more in the realm of property values within this community. In this article, I’d like to go more into the conveniences of living in Myrtle Grove.

Being on the west side of Pensacola is not very convenient if you need quick access to areas on the east side of town, such as the Cordova Park area or the Scenic Highway area. Nor would I like to have to drive from Myrtle Grove to Gulf Breeze or Cantonment every day either.
But if you work on any of the 3 Pensacola Naval Bases (Naval Air Station, Corry Field, or Saufley Field), Myrtle Grove is a perfect location. And since the military is the largest employer in the Pensacola area, it would be safe to assume many Myrtle Grove residents work at one of these bases.
So what is convenient to Myrtle Grove?
Pensacola Naval Air Station
10-20 Minute drive
Pensacola Airport
Around 30 minute drive at most
Pensacola Beaches
Both Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key are within a 1/2 hour drive. You can even get to Orange Beach Alabama within about 30-40 minutes, and Gulf Shores isn’t much further
Downtown Pensacola
20 Minutes
Pensacola State College
The Warrington Campus is only a 10-15 minute drive (or less from some locations). The main PSC campus near Cordova Mall is about a 30 minute drive.
Foley Alabama
Great for outlet mall shopping, and only around 40 minutes away
There’s still plenty more to talk about in Myrtle Grove. And lots of other Pensacola neighborhoods also.
