It is common for artists to draw inspiration from their peers and predecessors. The latest buzz in the music world surrounds Babyboy AV and his apparent inspiration from fellow Nigerian artist Rema.

Twitter has been abuzz with chatter about Babyboy AV‘s latest release, Kupe, with many users comparing the two artists. Some have even gone as far as to say that Babyboy AV is attempting to emulate Rema‘s unique style and sound.

One user, Double R’influence (@Rapzyrita1), tweeted, “Ever since Rema released his singles like this, everyone started using the same trend, including this Babyboy AV una.”

Another user, Grace of God (@KLeeeyah), shared a similar sentiment, stating, “This sound made sense but am I the only who feels Babyboy AV he’s inspired by Rema? I love what he does tho.”

Despite the comparisons, many fans still support Babyboy AV‘s work, with some acknowledging the influence while praising his unique spin on the sound. Pablow. (@bagboylammy) tweeted, “Baby boy AV dey tap from Rema I see the inspiration.”

The debate about Babyboy AV‘s musical inspiration has sparked a larger conversation about the role of inspiration in the creative process. Some argue that drawing inspiration from other artists is a natural part of the creative process, while others believe that artists should strive for originality and avoid being labeled as imitators.
