Nollywood star Eniola Ajao has set the record straight regarding the recent uproar over an alleged award presented to social media sensation Bobrisky. Contrary to earlier reports, Ajao reveals that there was no such award ceremony, and the ordeal was a clever ploy to drum up excitement for her upcoming film.
During an exclusive chat with Nigerian media, Ajao opened up about the elaborate scheme, expressing regret for any confusion it caused. She admitted that she and Bobrisky cooked up the faux award as a savvy marketing tactic to boost anticipation for her movie release.
“I never meant to mislead anyone,” Ajao said with a hint of remorse. “It was all about getting people talking about my film. But it seems things got a bit out of hand.”
The actress explained that tapping into Bobrisky’s massive online presence seemed like a surefire way to draw attention to her project. However, she confessed that the plan didn’t quite pan out as expected and sped more confusion than buzz.
Ajao didn’t hesitate to apologise to Nigerians, promising to be more transparent in her future promotional endeavours. She vowed to regain their trust and pledged to uphold honesty and authenticity in all her professional ventures.
