Bobrisky, the larger-than-life transgender sensation, has found himself on the wrong side of the law. The Federal High Court in Lagos has ruled, sending Bobrisky packing to six months in the slammer, with no chance of getting off easy with a fine. What’s the charge, you ask? It all boils down to getting too handsy with the Naira notes.

The saga began when Bobrisky got caught up in a whirlwind of trouble courtesy of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Fast forward to last Friday, April 5, 2024, when Justice Abimbola Awogboro dropped the hammer and found Bobrisky guilty of tampering with the Nigerian currency.

Now, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill courtroom drama. Bobrisky‘s antics have always been a magnet for attention, with his extravagant lifestyle and social media shenanigans keeping tongues wagging. But this time, the law didn’t seem amused by his flashy ways.

Pleading guilty to four counts of Naira abuse, Bobrisky found himself facing the music in a case that has gripped the nation’s interest. Spraying around N490,000 like confetti might seem harmless fun to some, but it’s no joke in the eyes of the law.

As the gavel came down on Bobrisky‘s fate, it was a stark reminder that even the most colorful characters aren’t above the law. It’s a lesson in respect for the almighty Naira and a cautionary tale about the consequences of crossing legal lines.
