Anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance, Usher took the stage to deliver a beautiful show featuring some of his greatest hits. However, despite the usual expectation of a significant sales boost following such a high-profile performance, Usher faces tough competition from new releases by Beyoncé and Kanye West.

Moments after Usher’s performance, Beyoncé surprised fans by dropping two new country songs from her upcoming album, Act II of “Renaissance.” Within minutes, these tracks soared to the top two spots on the U.S. iTunes chart, overshadowing Usher’s hit “Yeah!” which landed at No. 3.

Adding to the competition, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign released their joint album, Vultures 1, on Friday, dominating the Apple Music charts with about half the top 30 songs. Their track Carnival quickly claimed the No. 1 spot, further challenging Usher’s chart presence.

While Usher’s Yeah! and other tracks managed to secure spots on various charts, including Apple Music and Spotify, they faced tough competition from the tracks off Vultures 1, which claimed all but two of the top 10 spots on the U.S. Spotify chart.

Furthermore, Usher’s new album Coming Home, released on the same day as Vultures 1, trails behind on the Apple Music albums chart.

Despite the tough competition, Usher delivered a stellar performance at the halftime show, featuring guest appearances by Alicia Keys, will.i.am, Lil Jon, Ludacris, and H.E.R. However, the question remains whether his Super Bowl boost can overcome the new releases by Beyoncé and Kanye West on the charts.

The Super Bowl halftime show has historically provided a significant platform for artists to boost their sales and streams, with past performers experiencing substantial increases in song sales and streams following their performances. Whether Usher can replicate this success amidst fierce competition remains to be seen.

With Beyoncé teasing new music and Kanye West dominating the charts, Usher faces an uphill battle to maintain his chart presence following his Super Bowl performance. Fans will eagerly watch how Usher’s sales and streaming numbers fare in the coming days amid this musical showdown.
