Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has called for an apology from NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers following the latter’s insinuations that Kimmel would be implicated in court documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. In a pointed monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this Monday, the host refuted Rodgers’ allegations and urged the Green Bay Packers quarterback to publicly apologize.

Rodgers made the controversial remarks during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN last week. He suggested that individuals, including Kimmel, were anxious about their names emerging in recently unsealed court documents connected to the Epstein case. Despite Kimmel‘s name not featuring on the list, Rodgers hinted that Kimmel and others might still be concerned if their identities were revealed.

Addressing these claims during his opening monologue, Kimmel expressed skepticism about Rodgers‘ statements, proposing that the quarterback was likely reacting to Kimmel‘s comedic jabs rather than genuinely believing in Kimmel‘s connection to Epstein. Kimmel debunked the accusations with a touch of humor, stating, “I don’t know Jeffrey Epstein, I’ve never met Jeffrey Epstein, I’m not on a list, I wasn’t on a plane or an island or anything ever.”

Kimmel presented two possible explanations for Rodgers‘ comments – either Rodgers genuinely believed Kimmel would be on the list, an assertion Kimmel found absurd, or Rodgers made a claim out of frustration over Kimmel‘s jokes about his top knot and vaccination statements.

Highlighting the significance of a potential apology from Rodgers, Kimmel expressed his willingness to accept it and move forward. He emphasized his practice of admitting mistakes and apologizing when necessary, contrasting it with what he perceived as Rodgers‘ hesitance to do the same.

Beyond the Epstein-related controversy, Kimmel revisited Rodgers‘ earlier comments on Covid shots, criticizing the NFL player for publicly endorsing ivermectin, a livestock parasite treatment, as a substitute for Covid vaccination. Kimmel had previously labeled Rodgers a “whack Packer” in 2023 for connecting UFO sightings to the Epstein case during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

In response to Rodgers‘ statements, Kimmel voiced concerns for his family’s safety, accusing Rodgers of endangering them with his “reckless words.” Kimmel warned, “Keep it up, and we will debate the facts further in court.”

Efforts to obtain comments from Rodgers were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

The Epstein case, marked by sex trafficking charges against the disgraced financier, continues to captivate public attention and fuel conspiracy theories. Recently, unsealed documents have brought to light the recruitment of teenage girls to Epstein‘s Florida residence, providing additional details for the ongoing investigation.
