At the 96th Academy Awards, Hollywood was shocked as wrestler-turned-actor John Cena took the stage in a headline-grabbing moment. During a bit with host Jimmy Kimmel, Cena stripped down to his birthday suit to present the award for Best Costume Design.

The comedic exchange began with Kimmel referencing a past Oscars incident involving Robert Opel, a streaker. Kimmel humorously pondered the possibility of a nude interruption at this year’s ceremony, leading to Cena‘s unexpected appearance.

Backstage, Cena humorously expressed reluctance about the streaker bit, citing the event’s elegance. Despite Kimmel‘s insistence and a playful jab at Cena‘s wrestling attire, Cena emerged on stage with a strategically placed envelope covering his modesty.

Struggling to open the envelope, Cena passed it to Kimmel, who proceeded with the presentation. To wrap up the unconventional moment, Cena donned a gold toga, adding a touch of humor to the proceedings.

Earlier in the evening, Kimmel‘s opening monologue included playful jabs at Robert Downey Jr.‘s past, eliciting mixed reactions from the audience. Despite the lighthearted banter, Cena‘s unexpected striptease stole the spotlight, providing a memorable Oscars moment for viewers worldwide.
