She received her education at Sayreville War Memorial High School in Parlin, New Jersey. When he attempted to cheat by looking at her paper during a school test, she ran into Bon Jovi, who had already moved there.

Later, Jon Bon Jovi claimed that the song “Bobby’s Girl” was written for her and that he had been in love with her since they first met.

However, he did not act on it then because she was involved with his best friend, Bobby. They later became close and began dating before drifting apart again.

She revealed 1999 that she was the fourth-best Greenbelt karate master in the United States of America. When her spouse was profiled in People Magazine in 2002, she had earned a 4th-degree black belt.

Career

Dorothea Hurley is an accomplished karate instructor in her home state of New Jersey.

Furthermore, she and her husband run the JBJ Soul Kitchen restaurant chain, where guests are encouraged to support the community by “paying it forward” by pre-purchasing food for homeless individuals.

Personal Life

All of the band members, Bon Jovi, have turned down lucrative book agreements based on their past experiences over the years. A multi-million dollar book deal was even offered to the entire group.

They also said “no” to that. Rich Bozzett, the band’s former manager, wrote a book on his experiences with the band called ‘Sex, Drugs, and Bon Jovi’ 2010.

It sparked a lot of debate. According to Bozzett, Jon Bon Jovi was in a relationship with actress Diane Lane in the early 1980s, when Bon Jovi rapidly became one of the most popular international rock groups.

On the other hand, Lane began dating his bandmate, Richie Sambora. Lane and Jon Bon Jovi eventually split up, and Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi reconciled soon after. Sambora was a band member until 2013, when he quit to pursue a solo career.

Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea began dating again. He was a part of the New Jersey Syndicate Tour in 1989.

They stopped in Los Angeles, where Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi married.

There were no family members or friends in the room. They didn’t even have engagement rings. When the band, Jon Bon Jovi’s parents, and their manager at the time, Doc McGhee, found out, they were furious.

Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi have four children.

Stephanie called her father at 2 a.m. in November 2012 to tell him she had overdosed on heroin in her Hamilton College dorm.

She was then transferred to the hospital, where she recovered. The police did not arrest her or her partner, Ian Grant, because of a local statute that prohibits the indictment of those who have overdosed on drugs.

After the incident, Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea were chastised and labelled bad parents. Dorothea said she prayed their opponents never had to endure what she and her family did.

Net Worth

It’s estimated that Dorothea is worth $3 million. She shares her musician husband’s $410 million net worth with him.

Her husband’s restaurant company and her job as a karate instructor are her main sources of income. She has a happy, comfortable life with her husband and her career.
