Personal Life

They have two children together: a daughter named Leyana, born in 2017, and a son named Kayden, born in 2019. Coman is a devoted father and husband who often shares pictures of his family on social media.

He is also a devout Christian who wears a cross necklace and prays before every game. Coman has had some troubles in his personal life, however.

In 2017, he was arrested and fined for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, Sephora Goignan, whom he dated from 2013 to 2016.

He admitted to hitting her several times during an argument and apologized for his actions. He also had a legal dispute with Nike, his former sponsor, who sued him for breach of contract in 2018.

He switched to Adidas in 2016, but Nike claimed he still owed them money and damages. The case was settled out of court in 2019.

Career

Kingsley Coman began his professional career with PSG, debuting in February 2013, becoming the youngest player to play for the club at 16 years, eight months, and four days.

However, he made only four appearances for PSG as he struggled to break into the first team.

He decided to leave PSG in 2014 and joined Juventus on a free transfer, signing a five-year contract. He debuted for Juventus in August 2014 and scored his first goal in October 2014.

He won the Serie A and Coppa Italia in his first season, playing 20 games and scoring one goal.

In 2015, Coman joined Bayern Munich on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy. He debuted for Bayern in August 2015 and scored his first goal in September 2015.

He quickly established himself as a key player for Bayern, forming a formidable partnership with Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.

He won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and DFL-Supercup in his first season, playing 35 games and scoring six goals. He also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where he faced his former club Juventus. He scored two goals in the second leg, helping Bayern to a 6-4 aggregate win.

In 2017, Bayern exercised their option to buy Coman, signing him to a contract until 2020. He continued to impress for Bayern, winning more trophies and becoming a fan favorite. He extended his contract until 2023 in 2018 and until 2026 in 2020.

He has won seven Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal titles, four DFL-Supercup titles, and the 2020 UEFA Champions League with Bayern, playing 193 games and scoring 38 goals.

He won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, playing seven games and scoring one goal.

He also played in the 2016 UEFA European Championship, where France lost to Portugal in the final, and the 2020 UEFA European Championship, where France lost to Switzerland in the round of 16. He has played 37 games and scored nine goals for France.

Controversy

Kingsley Coman has been involved in some controversies in his career, mainly related to his personal life and transfers.

He was arrested and fined for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend in 2017, which tarnished his reputation and image.

He also had a legal dispute with Nike, his former sponsor, who sued him for breach of contract in 2018. He switched to Adidas in 2016, but Nike claimed he still owed them money and damages. The case was settled out of court in 2019.

Coman has also faced criticism for his transfers, especially from PSG fans, who accused him of being disloyal and ungrateful. He left PSG in 2014, after making only four appearances for the club, and joined Juventus on a free transfer.

He then joined Bayern Munich on loan in 2015, and later permanently, where he won the 2020 UEFA Champions League, scoring the winning goal against PSG.

He said he did not celebrate his goal out of respect for PSG, but some PSG fans still booed him and called him a traitor.
