Early life and education

Lisa Marie Presley was born (February 1, 1968) in Memphis, Tennessee, to the renowned Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley. As the only child of this legendary couple, her birth was a watershed moment in their lives. She has a brother named Navarone Garibaldi.

Unfortunately, when Lisa Marie was four, her parents decided to part ways, and she relocated to Los Angeles with her mother. However, despite the distance separating them, they still cherished the moments spent with her father during summers and holidays at his lavish Graceland estate in Memphis.

Presley had a problematic childhood since her father died unexpectedly of a heart attack when she was nine in 1977. This traumatic occurrence marked a crucial turning point in her life and significantly impacted her emotional well-being.

Struggling to come to terms with her father’s untimely demise, Presley grapples with immense grief and difficulty coping with the loss. To numb the pain, she resorted to substance abuse, indulging in drugs and alcohol. Consequently, these destructive habits led her down a path where she ultimately decided to drop out of high school.

The John Thomas Dye School in Los Angeles County and schools in Ojai, Ventura County, California, are just two of the many institutions Lisa Marie Presley attended while receiving her unorthodox education. She also briefly attended a Los Angeles school connected to the Church of Scientology.

Presley has expressed her dislike for school and feeling excluded from her peers. As a result, she decided to leave high school when she was only 17 years old.

Career

Presley’s career took off once she made her music debut in the late 1990s. Her 2003 release of To Whom It May Concern, her first studio album, was a big commercial success.

The album soared to number 5 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart, showcasing Presley’s exceptional talent and resonating with nationwide audiences.

Notably, it achieved a stunning feat that cemented Presley’s status as a budding star by selling more than 500,000 copies in the United States alone. The Recording Industry Association of America. Certified the album as gold in recognition of her accomplishments.

Presley’s second studio album, Now What, was released in 2005. Although this particular album did not achieve the same success as her debut album, it still reached a respectable position of number 12 on the highly regarded Billboard 200 chart.
