At the tender age of ten, she started modeling. She frequently spent her summers in New York, producing print and television commercials for companies including Sunny D, Next, and T-Mobile. Additionally, she appeared on the cover of the American Girl publication.
Madelyn Cline had enrolled at the University of the Carolinas. But at age 19, she left school to pursue a career as an actress. Later, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, against her parents’ desires. She receives career support from her parents, who are still in South Carolina.
Career
When Madelyn Cline made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles to begin her acting career, she was already a burgeoning model. In the 2009 short film Milites Christi, she was given the role of Matilda. In the 2011 thriller 23rd Psalm: Redemption, she played the role of Maya Smith, and in the 2012 short Children of Wax, she played Ashlyn.
After that, Madelyn Cline played Tanya in the 2014 short Bridge the Gap, Willow in the comedy Savannah Sunrise in 2016, and Grace Alexander in the TV drama The Jury in 2016. In 2019, she was seen as Olivia in The Giant. But her portrayal of Sarah Cameron in the Netflix original series Outer Banks cemented her reputation as a household figure. The young adult adventure show debuted on April 15, 2020.
Since Sarah was the longest role she had ever done, she feels that it required a lot of stamina on her part. Madelyn Cline had first gone in for a different part, Kiara, but she had not been a big fan of the part. She then read Sarah‘s part’s writing and adored the narrative. She immediately wanted to make the character unique and likable.
Madelyn Cline related to that character when the character transitioned and defended herself. She believed that women are frequently criticized for having an opinion. In the 2020 television series Day by Day, she played Daisy (voice).
Additionally, she will appear in the upcoming television shows What Breaks the Ice (playing Emily) and Once Upon a Time in Staten Island (as Sophia Larocca). In California, the Paradigm Talent Agency oversees Madelyn Cline‘s management.
