Career

In his youthful days at 19, Magnito‘s rap journey began when his friend Philosophy ignited the fire. Together, they formed the Mic Checkers crew.

As a fledgling rapper, Magnito drew inspiration from legends like Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, and 2pac. Their distinct styles drove him to explore his musical talents.

Magnito‘s debut track, Tele Mi, emerged during his university years, a creation produced by DaCapo. He reminisced about the financial hurdle of a N25,000 studio session, even resorting to selling his deck for N15,000 to make it happen in Abuja.

Magnito‘s star started to rise with the release of Medicine Girl in 2010, a tune that resonated widely.

Collaborations added depth to Magnito‘s catalog, as with the dynamic Goat anthem featuring artists such as Ice Prince, DJ Kenny, and Karl Williams. Albums like Shocking News, Fresh Out 01, and his latest masterpiece, Bars And Lamba, showcased his evolution.
