Career

Sibi Malayil wrote and directed Ishtam, an Indian romantic comedy-drama film in Malayalam released in 2001.

The major performers in the film are Dileep and Navya Nair, who are making their acting debut. Minor characters include Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Sreenivasan, and Jayasudha. Mohan Sitara wrote the music. Priyadarshan’s Hindi translation of Ishtam is Mere Baap Pehle Aap.

Sachidanandan Puzhankara, Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, and Mohan Sitara wrote all eight songs on the CD. The film was a financial success.

Bhadran wrote and directed this Malayalam comedy-drama film. Its stars are Prithviraj Sukumaran and Navya Nair. The story’s protagonist is a young man who works hard to support his sister. Alphons Joseph, a debutante, wrote the song.

The songs, particularly Pachamanga Pachamanga, topped the charts at the time.

Thatha, a teen, lives with her blacksmith brother Vakkathi Vasu, his wife, and their three children. Style Raj earns his living by travelling with a movie projector and presenting films to the general public.

After meeting Thatha, he falls in love. Vasu discovers that Raj is the assassin who assassinated his father’s landlord. Raj is eventually imprisoned.

Dileep and Anoop produced the film under the name of Grand Production. The film was financially successful—one of the highest-grossing films in 2005—and developed a cult following.

The film was released on July 4, 2005. The plot revolves around Malayali Bhuvana Chandran (Dileep), a failed businessman who is deeply in debt, as he becomes involved in a property dispute in Tamil Nadu between two powerful landlords, Pandi Durai (Prakash Raj) and Karuppayya Swami (Rajan P. Dev).

T. A. Shahid wrote the narrative, and Shaji Kailas directed the film, which Antony Perumbavoor produced under Aashirvad Cinemas. Mohanlal plays Anwar Ali/Ali Bhai, the undisputed market supremo and protector of the impoverished in Kozhikode Palayam.

The character was inspired by Ali Bappu, a real-life guy who used to live in Kondotty.

Personal Life

On January 21, 2010, she married Santhosh Menon, a Mumbai-based Malayali, and the pair had a son, Sai Krishna, in the same year. Her maternal uncle is Malayalam film director K. Madhu.

Navya was chosen as her screen name by director Sibi Malayil because he thought Dhanya was improper for an actress.

Net Worth

Navya is one of the richest cinema actresses in India. According to Wikipedia, Forbes, and Business Insider, Navya Nair’s net worth is $5 million.
