Blaqbonez‘s anti-love campaign, dating back to the release of his album “Sex Over Love” several moons ago, was met with great fanfare as he captivated audiences with his groundbreaking anti-love concert in Lagos on the eve of Valentine’s Day 2022. Since then, the “Breaking the Yoke of Love” festival has become the singer’s annual rite of passage.

The second iteration of this peculiar concert is currently underway, and Blaqbonez is poised to regale audiences again with his latest creative endeavor, “Breaking the Yoke of Love,” featuring the melodious voices of Chike and Raybekah. This hip-hop opus sees Blaqbonez flouting norms and querying conventional beliefs about love, monogamy, and even the notion of soulmates.

Blaqbonez‘s musings stem from a keen awareness of human avarice as he grapples with the idea of admiring just one person out of the 7 billion inhabitants of this planet. He approaches these ponderings with a logic that is both astute and unconventional.

Blaqbonez has made a prodigious impact on the hip-hop scene in Nigeria, reviving a genre that was widely regarded as deceased. He has achieved more in this regard than his contemporaries combined, and his influence extends beyond his musical endeavors. With his wit, self-sufficiency, marketing savvy, and unparalleled creativity, Blaqbonez has become a beloved figure among his followers, often eliciting peals of laughter with his antics.

Blaqbonez‘s commitment to producing meaningful content in 2023 is a boon for the hip-hop community in Nigeria, where many of his peers have gravitated towards singing. But Blaqbonez, with his unconquerable spirit, is determined to find a way where others see none, breathing new life into a genre that had been relegated to the abyss. In doing so, he also has uncaged simps from the shackles of love and heartache.
