It has come to light that Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has been facing intense pressure from his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Recent revelations have exposed the extent of Wike‘s influence over Fubara‘s administration, particularly in appointing his own in-law to the Executive Council.

Sources close to the matter have revealed that Governor Fubara has been navigating a treacherous political landscape, with many of his decisions being heavily influenced by the former governor. In fact, it is said that Fubara could only appoint one commissioner to his Cabinet, a clear indication of the power dynamics at play.

Wike‘s overbearing presence has not gone unnoticed, as he even went as far as chasing Fubara‘s wife out of Port Harcourt at the beginning of the administration. This shocking revelation has sparked outrage among the public, as many question the motives behind such actions.

The political turmoil in Rivers State has reached a boiling point, with Governor Fubara seemingly caught between a rock and a hard place. The pressure from his predecessor has led to growing discontent among the people, who are now demanding answers and accountability.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Governor Fubara will navigate these treacherous waters and whether he can assert his authority and govern the state effectively. In the meantime, the political drama in Rivers State serves as a stark reminder of the complex power dynamics that often shape the political landscape in Nigeria.
