After seeing her advertisement with Shah Rukh Khan, the film’s main actor Silambarasan, who had previously signed and then dropped her for a role in his film Kettavan, phoned her once more for the female lead role in Silambattam.

He saw me and chose me there. “I knew I had to work hard to break into the Tamil film industry.” Khan considers the picture to be her first break.
