Sex Over Love: Blaqbonez shows he understands the Music Business in new album
John Parker
Blaqbonez most recent album shows that he comprehends the music business more than most Nigerian hip-hop musicians. He brilliantly blended Afropop and Trap tracks on that collection being completely discerning of the way that both music classes are the most significant music kinds in Nigeria and the world on the loose.
Fundamentally, Blaqbonez has rethought himself to meet the current necessities of the music business and I will not be amazed if that person rises to the degree of musicians like Davido and Wizkid as far as ubiquity.
This is a fundamental exercise for every single forthcoming rapper and hip-hop specialists. In-your-face hip-hop isn’t just about as pertinent as it used to be in Nigeria somewhere in the range of not many years prior when rappers like MI Abaga held the whole business prisoner with his rap songs of praise.
The focal point of the Nigerian music crowd has now moved to Afropop/Afrobeat actually like the spotlight of American hip-hop has moved to Trap however much we prefer not to let it out. So need is laid on Nigerian hip-hop specialists to rehash and reproduce themselves to suit the requests of the music business.
Simply being a decent rapper and lyricist is not, at this point enough to get notoriety and consideration. Zingers, representations and witticisms are acceptable yet they will not get you the acknowledgment and consideration you merit.
Add singing to your range of abilities in the event that you can. Get a vocal mentor on the off chance that you should. Trial with the Afropop kind. Put your numbskull verses and zingers on dope Afrobeat melodies. Accomplish something other than what’s expected for a change. On the off chance that you should rap on in-your-face/unfamiliar sort beats take a stab at acquainting vernacular with your rap: pidgin, Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa. It incredibly improves your odds of getting financially effective in this specialty.
