He also has a poodle puppy named Gaeul, whom he adores and cares for. He is close with his fellow Enhypen members, especially Jay and Jake, who were also born in 2002.

He is also friends with other idols, such as Wonyoung of Ive, with whom he co-hosts Music Bank.

Controversy

Sunghoon faced criticism from some malicious netizens who accused him of not bowing properly to other idols on Music Bank, where he serves as a host.

They compared him unfavourably to his co-host, Wonyoung, who was praised for her manners and etiquette.

Some fans defended Sunghoon, saying he was shy, nervous, or rushed by the production staff and bowed during the interviews and the ending.

They also pointed out that he bowed 90 degrees to Seventeen when they won first place on the show.
