In a recent Twitter exchange that sent shockwaves across the platform, popular Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa was embroiled in a heated argument with a user identified as Ajebo Danny. The dispute, which revolved around allegations of theft and a mysterious trip to Dubai, has left Twitter users buzzing with anticipation for 2024.
The online drama kicked off when Muibat @Hardey0405 posted a tweet condemning the justification of colonialism, asserting that those who perpetrated it stole from their victims and maintained control over them. Responding to the post, Ajebo Danny entered the conversation, drawing parallels between historical colonial theft and what he perceives as contemporary theft by those in power.
“The people in power are not stealing from you? At least white people will steal and build something in return, our own people will steal, carry Toke Makinwa to Dubai and build nothing,” Ajebo Danny tweeted.
Toke Makinwa swiftly responded to the accusations, expressing her disbelief and challenging Ajebo Danny to provide evidence for his claims.
“Very Wild. I hope you have enough proof to defend this tweet of yours cos it’ll be a very interesting 2024,” she wrote.
Ajebo Danny remained unyielding, responding with a brazen retort, “Proof of what? Was your name not on the list or you didn’t go to Dubai? I’ll be waiting for 2024 dear bring it on.”
The exchange has since sparked a flurry of reactions from Twitter users, with some demanding clarity on the alleged Dubai trip and others expressing their anticipation for the unfolding drama in 2024. The controversy has reignited discussions about accountability, transparency, and the responsibilities of those in the public eye.
As netizens eagerly await the promised revelations in 2024, it remains to be seen whether this Twitter feud will fizzle out or escalate into a full-fledged exposé, making it one of the most anticipated social media events of the coming year.
