Tuesday Weld, also known as Susan Ker Weld, had a difficult childhood. Her story appears tragic, even though it is not recognized as such in Hollywood.

It is not given much thought, as in the cases of actresses such as Judy Garland. The pressure she faced as a child impacted her acting career because she turned down several films that would have increased her popularity.

As an actor, she was subjected to much industry pressure. The strain, however, appeared to double for her because her mother, Yosene Balfour Ker, pushed her to perform more than she should have.

She had to start working at a young age, and she appeared to have little say in the matter.
