Career

Vivian Velez needed help breaking into showbiz. She faced heaps of pressure and criticism, getting judged left and right for how she looked and lived her life. All that scrutiny messed with her head, showing how ugly the entertainment world can be sometimes. It’s a stark reminder that in the crazy hustle of showbiz, looking after your mental health should always come first.

But despite the rough patches, Velez has proven to be one gutsy actress. She didn’t shy away from doing her stunts, like in Ang Babaing Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang back in ’81. And sure, she’s got the looks, earning herself the title “Ms. Body Beautiful,” but she’s got serious acting chops too. Just check out her roles in Kill Zone, The Trial, Rio del Mar, and Imortal.

And she’s not just about the screen life. Vivian Velez dipped her toes into other media waters. Hosting her radio show and taking charge as Director General for the Film Academy of the Philippines? That’s some serious versatility and passion right there.
