Let’s explore the lives and stories of Blac Chyna’s parents, Eric Holland and Shalana Hunter.

Who is Eric Holland?

Blac Chyna’s father is Eric Holland, a former barber and musician born in Washington, D.C. He met Blac Chyna’s mother, Shalana Hunter, when he was 18 and she was 16.

They worked together at Macy’s and soon fell in love. However, their romance was short-lived. He was not very involved in Blac Chyna’s life, and she grew up mostly with her maternal grandmother.

Eric has two sons and nine daughters from his other relationships, making Blac Chyna the oldest of 12 siblings. Blac Chyna has a cordial relationship with her father now and has met some of her half-siblings.

However, she does not consider them as close as her mother and grandmother.

Who is Shalana Hunter?

Blac Chyna’s mother is Shalana Hunter, also known as Tokyo Toni, a social media personality and entrepreneur born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

She moved to the United States when she was six and grew up in Maryland. She gave birth to Blac Chyna when she was 17 and raised her as a single mother.

She had a tough life, as she was involved in drug dealing and prostitution to make ends meet. She also faced domestic violence and homelessness at some point.

She relied on her mother, who was paid to babysit Blac Chyna while she was running the streets.

She moved to Los Angeles to be closer to her daughter and started her own cleaning business. She also became a social media sensation, posting videos and photos of herself on Instagram and YouTube, often expressing her opinions and views on various topics.

Love life

Blac Chyna’s parents have had their share of love affairs and drama, both with each other and with other partners. Eric and Shalana never got married and broke up soon after Blac Chyna was born.

They remained friends but had occasional conflicts over child support and custody issues. Eric married another woman named Shon and had two kids with her.

He also had multiple affairs with other women and fathered 10 more children. He claimed he loved all his children equally and tried to be a good father.

However, he admitted that he was not faithful to his wives and girlfriends and regretted some of his actions.

Shalana also had several relationships after Eric and married a man named Marcellus Hunter in 2012. However, their marriage was rocky, and they divorced in 2017.

Shalana accused Marcellus of abusing her physically and emotionally and filed a restraining order against him. She also claimed that he was cheating on her with other women and that he was a drug addict.

Children

Blac Chyna is the only child of Eric and Shalana and the oldest of 12 siblings from Eric’s side. She was born on May 11, 1988, in Washington, D.C.

Her birth name is Angela Renée White, but she changed it to Blac Chyna when she started her career as a stripper and model. She attended Henry E. Lackey High School in Maryland and later enrolled at Johnson & Wales University in Miami, Florida.

However, she dropped out of college to pursue her dreams of becoming a star. She worked as a stripper and dancer at clubs such as King of Diamonds and Miami Velvet.

She became a popular urban model and appeared in magazines such as Dimepiece, Black Men’s Magazine and Straight Stuntin’.
