Personal Life

Alexis Maas, aged 71, and Johnny Carson, the famed television host, shared a marriage until his passing in 2005 due to emphysema. Their journey began in the 1980s when they embarked on a romantic relationship that spanned several years. Despite the significant age gap—Maas was 35 while Carson was 61—their connection blossomed, culminating in marriage.

The couple exchanged vows in a picturesque June 20, 1987 ceremony in Malibu, California. Their nuptials were an intimate affair, attended by loved ones and officiated by Superior Court Judge William P. However, their extravagant honeymoon in the Mediterranean, where they reportedly spent over $6.5 million, drew public attention.

Although Maas and Carson did not have children together, they cherished an enchanting 18-year marital journey. Since her husband’s passing, Maas has opted not to remarry, finding contentment in her life as a single individual.

Net Worth

Alexis Maas‘ total net worth amounted to $300 million. Her acquisition of this wealth can be attributed to her inheritance from her deceased spouse, Johnny Carson.

Instead of hoarding the entire sum, she generously contributed approximately $156 million to the Johnny Carson Foundation, her husband’s charitable organization.
