At the young age of 18, Khaid has already experienced a lot in life. In a recent interview with “Pulse Nigeria,” he revealed that he worked as a roadside mechanic in the streets of Ojo to earn money and support his family and music career. This shows he’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty to achieve his dreams.

Interestingly, Khaid‘s father suggested he learn a skill, given that music wasn’t bringing in enough money. This shows that his family supports him but is also realistic about the challenges of pursuing a career in the music industry.

Despite his youth, Khaid‘s dedication to his craft has already yielded results. He’s signed to Neville Records, a record label owned and managed by popular Nigerian comedian and social media influencer Sydney Talker. Today, the world watches him, one of Gen Z’s fast-rising Nigerian musical prodigies, assert his unique voice and presence in the industry.

But what truly set Khaid on his meteoric rise to stardom was his big break in January 2022, when he was announced as the first artist signed under Neville Records. His debut album, Diversity, which was released in May of the same year, bears testament to his impressive talent and staying power.

The story behind his breakthrough is as fascinating as it is inspiring. On January 28, 2022, Khaid released his first single, With You, which made an instant impression on the music scene, peaking at number 48 on the Nigeria TurnTable chart.
